CommonSpot For Content Contributors

This two-day comprehensive end-user content management training course teaches the basics of adding, editing, deleting, and formatting content, and setting security in a CommonSpot Content Server managed web site. It is an ideal course for end-users tasked with creating, updating and management of content, and administrators with responsibility for managing the site and training others.

Course Prerequisites:Students should have a casual familiarity with web browsing using Microsoft Internet Explorer. Previous experience with Microsoft Office applications is helpful. 
Course Objectives:

To provide a thorough understanding of, and hands on learning for individuals responsible for contributing content within a Web Site managed by CommonSpot Content Server. With the two-day course, students will develop a full-featured content-managed Web site using CommonSpot for a fictitious company. 

Units covered will include:

  • Site Architecture & Organization
  • Creating Pages, Adding Content
  • Approving Content, Managing Page Set
  • Scheduling & Personalizing Content
  • Use of the Simple Form and Datasheet element
  • Accessing the CommonSpot Administrator

Course Materials:
Each participating student will receive a bound content management courseware manual containing the instructor's PowerPoint slides and notes. Additionally, the organization will receive a CD containing the demonstration site, along with the materials used in each of the unit walkthroughs and the instructor's PowerPoint deck.

Cost: Private On-site Class

$2,500 per day plus courseware and expenses if delivered on-site at client’s location. The recommended class size is 8-14 students. The cost of the content management courseware per student is $225.


Cost: Public Class

$795.00 per student, at an authorized PaperThin training partner's location in a public training class. The cost of the content management courseware is included in the per student price. Classes are scheduled based on demand.
