64-bit Operating System Support—With release 5.1, you can now leverage the greatly improved memory utilization capabilities, faster processing speed, and better overall performance, scalability, and virtualization features of 64-bit operating systems when running CommonSpot with ColdFusion 8.0.1. Supported 64-bit operating systems include: Windows Server 2003/2008 64 Bit, Solaris 10, and 64-Bit Red Hat Linux.

Internet Explorer 8 Support—CommonSpot 5.1 now supports the much anticipated Internet Explorer 8 release for both content viewing and contribution/approval, demonstrating PaperThin's commitment to supporting the latest browser versions in a timely manner.

Vista Client Support—If you've migrated to Windows Vista, you can now smoothly leverage your investment using CommonSpot which supports the Vista Ultimate and Vista Business 32/64-bit operating systems for both content viewing and contribution/approval using Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 or 8, or Mozilla Firefox 2 or 3.

Updated File Format Support—CommonSpot 5.1 also adds native support for developing content with the most current file format versions (such as Microsoft Office, Flash, Video, etc.), enabling more seamless use of these popular file types.

Remote Editing Capabilities—You can also take advantage of new remote editing features in CommonSpot 5.1 for updating content outside of the standard authoring environment, and extending the ability to develop user-driven content and social media applications via front-end production servers.

Support for Multiple Virtual Root Sites—This valuable branding capability gives marketers, product managers and brand managers the ability to create and manage unique root-level URLs within a single-server environment for better identification and promotion of product/service microsites.
