Enterprise Edition
For those organizations who want to deploy CommonSpot throughout an enterprise, the Enterprise Edition offers a more cost-effective, fixed-price solution with support for an unlimited number of contributors, and all of CommonSpot’s rich, add-on features. The Enterprise Edition ships with a CommonSpot Development Server.

Production Server
Often companies wish to create and edit content on a ‘authoring’ or ‘staging’ server and replicate the content to a ‘production’ server. PaperThin offers for this purpose a read-only CommonSpot Production Server.
Read-only Production Servers can be implemented in a multi-server environment whereby the servers are clustered for load-balancing and server fail-over purposes.

Development Server
As a best practice, PaperThin recommends that developers and Webmasters code and test new functionality, applications and version releases on a separate server before moving into a ‘production’ environment. CommonSpot Development Servers can be purchased for this purpose.

Note: In addition to CommonSpot Content Server licenses, customers must acquire the necessary Web server hardware and software, Internet connection, and database licenses.
