Boston, MA February 22, 2007 – PaperThin, Inc. a leading content management system provider, today announced that the company achieved 43% revenue growth in 2006, and its thirteenth consecutive year of profitability. The company’s sustained year-over-year growth underscores the continued demand for its content management solution, CommonSpot™ Content Server.
PaperThin attributes its strong performance to a combination of factors, including recurring business, new strategic customer acquisitions, and an active partner network of value-added resellers, consulting, design, and Web hosting firms.
In 2006, PaperThin experienced steady repeat business. Continued use of CommonSpot and subscription renewals remained strong at 98% and 96% respectively. These positive results were fueled by several customer-focused initiatives, including the introduction of new consulting and professional services offerings, support structure enhancements, and expansion of the company’s dedicated account management and support teams.
2006 also brought solid expansion and adoption of CommonSpot in the corporate, education, government, healthcare, association, and non-profit sectors. A sampling of new customers, include City of St. Louis, ESAB, George Mason University, Northwest Georgia Oncology Centers, Pearson Education, United States Senate, University of South Dakota, United Way of America, and University of Wisconsin. Many existing customers including, United States Army Corps of Engineers and National Park Service extended their use of CommonSpot to provide a broader platform for managing content organization-wide.
PaperThin’s partner channel outperformed in 2006 helping to drive revenue and add value to CommonSpot through training, consulting and implementation services. The company also experienced a steady increase in demand for its hosted offering of CommonSpot sold direct and through several hosting providers. PaperThin’s partner channel will be a greater focal point in 2007 as the company looks to enhance its partner program and grow its portfolio both geographically and by vertical. These initiatives will allow PaperThin to extend product expertise, increase its resource pool, and provide more distributed training and consulting to better support customers.
In addition to significant growth, PaperThin received two prestigious awards in 2006 by industry leading publication, KMWorld. CommonSpot v4.6 was named a “Trend-Setting Product of 2006” and PaperThin was recognized as a “100 Companies that Matter in Knowledge Management”.
“PaperThin enjoyed an outstanding 2006 by virtually every measure, with strong revenue growth, solid profitability, and continued customer success,” said Todd Peters, president of PaperThin, Inc. “These latest growth results reflect the focus and talent of our team, along with excellent execution among our partner channel.
