Web content management vendor adds new customers in government, education, non-profit and healthcare sectors
Boston, August 27, 2003 - PaperThin, Inc., a leading mid-market content management system vendor, announced today that organizations in the government, education, non-profit and healthcare sectors have recently selected CommonSpot Content Server to manage their Internet, intranet and extranet sites. Using CommonSpot, non-technical employees are able to easily and cost-effectively create and publish dynamic, personalized Web content.
In the government sector, the International Broadcasting Bureau (Washington, D.C.) – best known for their popular ‘Voice of America’ broadcasts, heard world-wide – recently selected CommonSpot, as did the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General (Harrisburg, Pa.). New customers in the education sector include Stanford Graduate School of Business (Stanford, Calif.), East Carolina University (Greenville, N.C.) and Oregon Health & Science University (Portland, Ore.). In the association and non-profit sector, Healthcare Association of New York State (Rennsselear, N.Y.), Connecticut Education Association (Hartford, Conn.), National Society of Collegiate Scholars (Washington, D.C.), and International Food Information Council (Washington, D.C.) selected CommonSpot, and healthcare-related Arthrex (Naples, Fla.) and HealthTalk (Seattle, Wash.) also recently chose CommonSpot to manage their Internet sites.
Organizations of all sizes are increasingly looking for tools that can help them do more with less. According to Clif Johnson, manager of technology for HealthTalk, “We chose CommonSpot because of the value it offers over other content management solutions in its category, and because of its ease of integration. By implementing CommonSpot, we will empower our producers to create content from beginning to end without reliance on development resources, increasing our efficiency and return on investment many times over.”
Using CommonSpot’s extensive out-of-the-box features, Web developers are able to build dynamic Web sites quickly, thus allowing non-technical staff to assume responsibility for the day-to-day tasks of creating and publishing content, within a controlled environment. Using standard features like templates and style sheets allows a designer to maintain a consistent look and feel throughout the site. No special technical knowledge is required, and authors can publish documents, images, PDFs, video clips and other content using a wizards-based interface.
“Regardless of their size or industry, all of our customers are looking for tools that allow them to efficiently distribute the responsibility for managing their Web sites to non-technical staff, and free up developers to focus on more productive activities,” noted Todd Peters, president of PaperThin, Inc. “With CommonSpot, our customers can deploy secure, scalable sites quickly and affordably, and customize functionality to meet their unique requirements.”
